Information We Collect

Account Information:

• Email address (for registration and login)

• Apple ID or Google account (if using social sign-in)

User-Created Content:

• Writing projects (novels, outlines, character settings)
• AI writing alter ego configurations
• Character chat messages
• Generated cover images

AI Service Configuration:

• Third-party AI API keys you provide (encrypted at rest, used only to make AI requests on your behalf)

Device Information:

• Device type and operating system (for app compatibility)
• Language preference

How We Use Your Information

• Authentication: Create and manage your account
• Content Storage: Save your writing projects, characters, and configurations
• AI Requests: Send requests to AI providers using your own API keys
• Knowledge Extraction: Auto-extract story knowledge (character changes, plot threads) from your chapters to improve writing context
• Alter Learning: Analyze your edits to learn your writing preferences (stored locally to your alter ego)
• Service Improvement: Fix bugs and improve performance

Third-Party Services

Supabase: We use Supabase for authentication and database services. Supabase Privacy Policy

AI Providers: When you configure AI services (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, DeepSeek, Qwen, Kimi, MiniMax, VolcEngine), requests are sent directly to these providers using your own API keys. We do not store AI request/response content beyond your project data.

Google AdSense: Our website uses Google AdSense for advertising. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history. Google Privacy Policy

Camera & Photo Library

The app requests camera and photo library permissions solely for selecting or capturing avatar images for your writing alter ego. We do not access your camera or photos for any other purpose.

Data Security

• All data transmitted via HTTPS encryption
• API keys encrypted at rest
• Authentication required to access user data
• We do not share your data with third parties
• We do not sell your personal information

Data Retention & Deletion

• Your data is retained while your account is active
• Deleted projects are moved to trash and permanently removed after 30 days
• You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account
• Upon account deletion, all data (projects, chapters, characters, alters, AI configurations, chat messages, knowledge data) is immediately and irreversibly removed from our servers

Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us.

Your Rights

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data (via the Export feature in the app)
• Withdraw consent at any time

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
